Screening for Plagiarism Policy
The International Journal of Climate Governance Research (IJCGR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality in scholarly publishing. To ensure the quality and credibility of all published works, the journal implements a strict plagiarism screening policy for all submitted manuscripts.
All manuscripts submitted to IJCGR are screened using reputable plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate prior to the peer-review process. This screening is conducted to identify instances of similarity, improper citation, duplicate publication, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, and other forms of academic misconduct.
The journal applies a maximum similarity threshold of 20%, excluding references, quotations, and commonly used academic phrases. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned to authors for revision or rejected at the discretion of the editorial board.
If plagiarism or unethical publishing practices are identified at any stage of the review or publication process, the manuscript may be rejected, withdrawn, or retracted. In serious cases, the journal may notify the authors’ affiliated institutions in accordance with ethical publishing standards.
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their submissions and for properly citing all sources used in their work.
By submitting a manuscript to IJCGR, authors acknowledge and agree to comply with this plagiarism screening policy.
